Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Adams Parent Advisory Council

Our mission: Build Adams’ community through communication and connection.

Our purpose: The PAC’s purpose is to build a strong community at Adams Elementary and to support students and staff in their academic efforts. Through these efforts, the PAC will encourage collaboration for members and provide financial support to enrich the education for all students enrolled at the school by building the Adams’ community through communication and connection.

Members: Families of Adams' students, Adams' staff members, Adams' administrators.

We serve: Students, parents & families, staff of Adams' Elementary.

Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement can provide links to resources that may be helpful to parent-teacher organizations (PTOs), advisory councils, partnership teams, booster clubs and other nonprofit organizations that help students. 

Resources include:
  • Leadership
  • Establishing non-profit organization (501c3) status
  • Non-profit organization and volunteer management
  • Financial and organizational management
  • Recruitment and retention of members
  • Partnership practices and networking
Services:
  • Leadership workshops & special events are offered on a periodic basis. Topics typically covered include member recruitment and retention, publicity, communications, tips for treasurers and obtaining or maintaining (501c3) nonprofit status with the IRS.

Anoka-Hennepin Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center is located at the Anoka-Hennepin Schools Educational Service Center and lends library materials to staff, families, and community members.
 
The Resource Center features materials on nonprofit management.
